What Is Proof of Trader? The Verified Trading Record, Explained
Proof of Trader turns your verified history from 49 venues into one read-only record of volume, PnL and fees that platforms use to set your offers.
Proof of Trader is Voltrade's verified trading record: it reads your history from your wallets and exchange accounts across 49 venues and turns it into one record of lifetime volume, PnL, balance, fees, trade frequency and average trade size, split by venue and instrument. The record is built from fills and venue-reported totals, not from anything you type in, and it is read-only by design. Platforms use it to offer you rewards based on how you actually trade.
It is also called the Trader Passport, and it has been live at voltrade.xyz/proof-of-trader since 3 November 2026.
The short definition
A trading history is scattered by default. Some of it sits in a Hyperliquid wallet, some in a Binance account, some in Polymarket positions, some in swaps on Base. No single platform sees all of it, so every platform treats you as a stranger.
Proof of Trader gathers that history into one record. It answers a simple question that incentive programmes have never been able to answer cleanly: is this a real trader, and how much do they really trade?
How it works, step by step
- Open the passport. Go to /proof-of-trader. The same record is available at /trader-passport.
- Connect wallets. Each wallet is proven with a signature. There is no transaction and no gas.
- Connect exchange accounts. Centralised exchanges and key-based venues connect with a read-only API key.
- Link dYdX with a wallet signature, and match Fomo app swaps through your verified X account.
- Read the record. The passport imports your fills and venue totals, then shows your volume, PnL, balance, fees and activity by venue and by instrument.
- See your tier and offers. Your verified volume places you in a tier, from Starter to Legendary, and partner offers are matched to it.
- Activate what you want. You choose which offers to run, and you can run several at once. Hit the target and you get the reward. Every completed deal makes a shareable card.
What the record measures
The passport is not a single score. It is a set of numbers, each tied to a source.
| Metric | What it tells a platform |
|---|---|
| Lifetime volume | How much you trade in total |
| PnL | Whether your trading has made or lost money |
| Balance | What you hold on connected venues |
| Fees paid | What your flow has been worth to venues |
| Trades per month | How active you are, not just how big |
| Average trade size | Retail flow or size flow |
| Active since | How long you have been trading |
| Split by venue and instrument | Where and what you trade |
Every metric is broken down by venue, so a platform can see that a trader is, say, mostly perps on two DEXs with some prediction-market activity, rather than one undifferentiated total.
What counts as volume
Perpetuals, options (Derive and Deribit), prediction markets (counted at the price paid per share), venue spot (stablecoin-quoted fills on connected exchanges) and onchain swaps all count.
Transfers, bridges, deposits, liquidity provision, NFT trades and payouts do not. Moving money is not trading, so it does not inflate the record.
History depth
Onchain venues are read from the chain or the venue's public data. Exchange APIs only reach back as far as each exchange keeps history, and the passport shows that depth per venue, so you can see exactly what period each number covers.
Every venue it reads
Proof of Trader reads 49 venues today, onchain and centralised.
Perp DEXs, read from a wallet: Hyperliquid, Lighter, GMX, Aster, Derive (perps and options), Arcus, Nado, RISEx, Ostium, Orderly, gTrade, Avantis and TxFlow. On Solana: Pacifica, Jupiter Perps, Phoenix, Bullet and GMX Solana.
dYdX: linked with a wallet signature.
Prediction markets: Polymarket and Outcome.
Onchain swaps: every DEX and aggregator on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, HyperEVM and Solana.
Exchanges, with a read-only API key: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, KuCoin, Crypto.com, MEXC, Gate, BloFin, Backpack, Coinbase and Kraken.
Key-based perp and options venues: Extended, Paradex, GRVT, ApeX Omni, QFEX, Deribit, Kraken Futures, Hibachi and Aster Pro.
Fomo: app swaps, matched through your verified X account.
If a venue you trade on is missing, the passport page has a venue request form.
Read-only by design
Proof of Trader can read your history. It cannot trade for you.
- Wallets are proven with a signature. No transaction is sent and no gas is spent.
- Exchanges connect with read-only API keys. Keys are encrypted and never sent back to the browser.
- Nothing can move. The passport can never place orders or move funds.

Why it can't be farmed
Most incentive programmes reward whatever a wallet can produce cheaply: sign-ups, small repetitive trades, many accounts. Proof of Trader is built so those tactics don't pay.
It is built from fills, not claims. The record comes from venue data. You cannot type in a number.
One account, one passport. A wallet or exchange account counts on one passport only. Once a reward is paid on it, that account is bound to that passport for good, so the same history can't be claimed twice from two accounts.
No double counting. Volume from Voltrade's Base competitions and other competitions counts as a minimum per venue, never on top of what the venue itself reports.
Wash-trading resistance in volume campaigns explains why these rules matter for anyone paying incentives.
Privacy
The passport itself is private. It is your record, visible to you.
On the public leaderboard you appear only as an anonymous alias with rounded figures. Your name, wallets and socials are never shown there.
The only public version of your record is the card you choose to download or share. The share card can show or hide your X picture and name. There is also "Your story", which walks through your record slide by slide.
Tiers, offers and VXP
Your verified volume sets your tier, from Starter to Legendary. Partners publish offers with tiers across that range, so a stronger record sees stronger offers.
Some rewards are first to fill: activating an offer doesn't reserve a reward, and the first traders to hit the target get it.
The genesis partners run offers until 30 November 2026, 23:59 UTC:
| Partner | Offer |
|---|---|
| TxFlow | 15% of trading fees back plus points, for every verified trader |
| Derive | Up to 1,500 DRV for options traders new to Derive |
| BloFin | 30% fee cashback, or up to VIP5 plus $115 per $1M taker volume for high-volume traders |
| Outcome | Up to a $600 volume bonus for Polymarket traders |
| Propr | Up to 20% off prop challenges |
| Trigr.xyz | Up to 6 months of Pro plus points for first agents |
The page also estimates what your flow is worth to platforms, across fee rebates, token incentives, trading bonuses and competition prizes.
Your record also earns VXP, Voltrade's points: 1 VXP per $1,000 of perps and options volume, and 1 VXP per $100 of prediction-market, spot and onchain volume. How VXP and daily volume caps work covers the points system in more depth.
The Base passport
Voltrade on Base has its own passport view at base.voltrade.xyz/passport. It shows only Base volume: Base onchain swaps, Avantis, gTrade's Base trades and Coinbase. It uses the same wallets and keys as the main passport. The Base Blue card on base.voltrade.xyz/profile shows that Base volume; Base Blue is Base's upcoming trader card and Voltrade's version is a preview.

Why Voltrade built it
Voltrade has run trading campaigns for venues including dYdX, Lighter, GMX, KuCoin, BloFin and Derive, routing over $1 billion in volume. Across those campaigns the same pattern kept showing up: incentives leak to wallets that were never going to stay. Proof of Trader is the fix: reward the record, not the wallet count.
